Dear friends,

I just finished a custom order for a client. She saw a pair of earrings I had for sale in copper and crystal quartz and asked if I could make them in Sterling Silver...absolutely! I love it when a customer asks. Ask and ye shall receive, right? As a custom design artist, I enjoy getting requests.

So, if you have seen some of my creations and wish they were in a different metal or with a different stone combination, just ask. If I can create it, I gladly will. Nothing makes me happier than a happy customer!

Vintage Design: All the Rage

Yes, I too have jumped on the vintage look design wagon. The combination of natural stones, crystals and vintage metals...yum! OMG! I just can't help myself. What is it with vintage at the moment? Here are my thoughts.

I think that as a humanity, we are wishing for simpler times of old. With a fast paced, stressed, technology driven society, sometimes just craving the old and familiar is comforting. Simple things bring comfort. Seeing an old key, a rusted door nail - just takes you back to another time. A time of no computers, cell phones, iPads...a time of rest. It reminds you of grandma or great grandma. Those regal and strong ladies who always looked so feminine and delicate and proper. The jewelry they wore was not new. It was usually an heirloom piece handed down from mother to daughter over the generations. Each piece had history and meaning and a story.

For those of you who have pieces like that, treasure them. If they are broken and in need of repair, repair them. If you would like to re-fashion an old piece into something that is wearable for today, give me a call and we can set up a private session to design you a special piece that incorporates your story, your history, your family.

And for those who may not have had such a long family history of heirloom jewelry being passed down to you, there is much to choose from in pieces being designed today that you may one day pass down to your children and their children.

The Benefits of Wearing Quartz Crystal

Hello friends,

Today we are going to learn about Quartz Crystal. One of my favorite stones! It is a Crown Chakra stone. Actually, you can use it for any Chakra to balance and clear. Actually, you can use it to balance and clear anything! It is quite a versatile stone. There is much history about quartz. Too much to discuss in this forum. However, we would not be in the tech age without it. Computers exist because of quartz. How do you think all this data gets transferred so quickly and instantly around the world? Yep, quartz crystals!

And the Atlantians knew this. They used quartz to store information...lots of it. It is said that Atlantis was one of the most advanced civilizations to ever exist. Even by modern standards they were way ahead of us in their understanding of energetics and the use of crystals. Massive crystals located around the city were used for transferring information, transportation, and even mind control. Apparently, the fall of Atlantis occurred because they misused their power...they misused the gifts of mother nature against their own - other humans. Slavery existed - but in a more advanced state than how we know it through our history books. The peasant classes were mentally controlled by crystal energetics. Of course, this is all speculation and there are many other Atlantian mythologies that exist. Before the fall, it is said that those with knowledge were warned of the fall so they began to store all human knowledge in crystals which were then scattered all over the world during the destruction of Atlantis. You can find Atlantian crystals even to day. Just visit a metaphysical rock shop and ask if they carry any. They will not think you are weird. Lol! But don't go into a regular rock shop and ask...those people might think you are a bit strange.

Quartz can be programmed. This is how computers are "programmed." By programmed, I mean that you can set your intentions into quartz crystal or download energetic information into your quartz crystal. That's for another blog entry, though.

When I design pieces in quartz crystal, I first clear the quartz of previous owners, energies, and so forth. Then I program in or put my intentions into the piece for love, light, healing, harmony and peace. When you purchase a piece of quartz or jewelry made with quartz, you can clear and re-program it with your own intentions. I would highly recommend this especially if you know nothing of the designer or history of the piece.

The photo of the earrings you see above were created with quartz crystal rounds and copper. I love using copper. It is a healing metal and enhances the energies of any stones it is paired with. I Am Grateful Today!

Yes, I am grateful today! I had just had a conversation with God earlier today asking why in 3 years of being on Etsy I had not sold one dang thing! I just asked that my work be covered in light and love and attract people who want to buy my creations. And guess what? I checked my Etsy a little while ago and I had made my first sale!!!! Yea!

Being grateful is a magical thing. The more grateful you are for what you have the more you receive...or so it seems.

The piece I sold was called "Bow in Prayer" - a Tibetan brass pendant accented in red crystals. Not a coincidence. It was a God thing...he threw me a bone so that I would not get discouraged. I am very, very joyful for the opportunity to sell my creative work to the world. It was a gift given me by God and I don't want to hide it or be ashamed of it thinking I am not good enough.

Yes, there are amazing artists out there - way better than me - but that does not in any way reduce the value or quality of my pieces...they are made with heart and spirit and that may be what makes my work draw people in.

I need your help. I'd like your thoughts on a new line of jewelry I am creating...The Chakra Collection. I've been thinking about this concept for a few years now. I am in the process of designing pieces that will help in the healing and balancing of the 7 major energy centers of the body.

For those of you not familiar with the chakra system, here are the names of the 7 major chakras:

Chakra 1: Base Chakra - located a the bottom of the spine (butt bone area)
Chakra 2: Sacral Chakra - located between the belly button and pubic bone
Chakra 3: Solar Plexus - located above the belly button and below the sternum
Chakra 4: Heart Chakra - located in the center of the chest
Chakra 5: Throat Chakra - located in the throat area
Chakra 6: Third Eye Chakra - located between the brows on the forehead
Chakra 7: Crown Chakra - located at the top of the head near the center

Each of these energy centers has an effect on the 5 layers of the body...including the physical and emotional bodies. When these centers are blocked, constricted, flowing the wrong way, too open...you may experience physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances in your life.

Through different energetic healing modalities, including the use of natural stones and crystals, you can bring these energy centers back in balance.

Given that the intention of my jewelry is for healing purposes and that I already use the energies of the stones in my designs, I want to know what my customers are wanting such as simple every day wear designs or more elaborate and bold designs in this line? Jewelry with a Healing Purpose

Hello everyone!

This idea of jewelry having a healing effect may be new to some or most of you. Well, most jewelry does not. If you bought a nice little fashion piece from TJ Max, Target, etc...you are wearing the energy of the little child labor child or poor tired low paid artisan who made it. Or you may be wearing a piece that was mass produced in China or India for some big name designer who could care less if the piece is healing to you or not as long as they see profits in the bank. All that is fine and dandy...just a part of living in a materialistic and capitalistic society. What is...is.

However, you do have a choice. You can choose to wear artistic pieces created with the intention of love, healing, and light for the wearer. That's where a unique jewelry artisan and designer like me comes in. I create my pieces from states of meditation and prayer. I respect the visions I receive when I am designing a piece for a customer. I put a sincere energy of love and light into each piece. These creations come from my heart and from my spirit.

And my customers and wearers actually FEEL it when they wear one of my pieces. They can feel the peace, the love, the light, the harmony, the calmness....whatever it is they were needing is infused into each piece. I have had customers who slept with one of my pieces under their pillow because it helped them sleep more peacefully. I have had wearers share their special pieces with friends who were needing some healing light in their life at that moment.
