Thank You to Everyone!!!

I survived Austin's first annual Fashion Week! Wow! What a learning experience it was. I am still recovering from all the sleep deprivation and sheer physical exhaustion.

Thank you to all you wonderful friends and devoted fans of Circle of Stones Jewelry who came out and supported me, voted for me, volunteered for me! I am so grateful! I am so appreciative of your loving and giving hearts!

I made some great contacts, received decent exposure, and met lots of new friends who will probably become loving fans of my jewelry creations. It is all worth it when someone finds a piece that they just love and can't be without. Each piece is its own work of art. I don't repeat my designs so each piece is as individual as the person admiring it. I just love that. Each piece knows its owner. No kidding! The piece will pick you! Just ask my devoted followers. They have all experienced being picked! It's a special moment.

I have launched some new activities...visit my website a www.circleofstonesjewelry.com to learn more in the News & Events section.

If you have a lead or connection in a boutique, store, or salon that you believe would be interested in carrying my work, let me know. I will send you a FREE gift for any leads or referrals that bloom into something fruitful! I like to take care of the clients who take care of

Austin Fashion Week 2009 July 13 - 19

Yeah! I was chosen as a competing jewelry designer in Austin's Fashion Week 2009!
You absolutely must attend my events and vote for me right now at this link:

Thank you so much! Voting for me is VERY IMPORTANT in this competition.

Check out my website for a list of events I am hosting the entire week. This is how it works.
I have to set up a jewelry boutique at Studio 563 during Fashion Week July 13 - 19th. I have to host events to draw in people to shop and vote for me. Sounds easy, but is quite a complex and expensive task to orchestrate especially when you have no budget for it.

Studio 563 is graciously hosting me during Fashion Week. They are located at 202 Colorado in the trendy 2nd St. District. I am so lucky to have such a great spot! I am required to set up a small boutique in their space the week of July 13th - 19th...which I am madly planning right now. This is like one of those "extreme" contests where you only have so much time to get it all together. Very nerve racking! Judges will be attending at least one of the events that week and judging my boutique space, my jewelry design, etc... I don't care much about that. I just want all of you to enjoy yourselves at the events, vote for me, and have fun shopping my jewelry collection.

My creations are inspired by vision(s)...

I need to post more often....sorry about that! I have good intentions and then get sidetracked by life. I am starting this post but won't finish it until later today. I am already late for work! Yes, the plight of an artist that cannot sustain herself yet just through her art. However, this will soon not be the case. I have a PLAN!!!! (Don't we all!)

Okay, about the visions...well, just a few thoughts. Yes, I do believe most true artists have visions and are guided by these visions to create in the world. Some have auditory "visions" - others, like myself, have actual visions. I believe we are channeling the creative spirit. We are tapping into "all that is" and bringing forth beauty. How is it that I am able to create a piece for someone I have never met and it be the exact colors and design that resonant with their spirit? Coincidence? I think not. No such thing as coincidence. This universe is governed by the law of Cause and Effect.
Anyway....I will return to this thought hopefully later today.

St. Hildegarde of Bingen Pendants

I have created a new line of pendants to honor St. Hildegarde of Bingen and being a member of Hilde Girls - an amazing group of women that sing the sacred chants of St. Hildegarde.

The heart symbolizes how much we LOVE to sing inspiring music, especially the songs of St. Hildegarde.
The feather represents St. Hildegarde's most famous quote:

"I am a feather on the breath of God."

St. Hildegarde was an 11th century mystic saint. The things she accomplished as a woman during that time period are nothing more than miracles. She wrote a book on how to heal by using natural herbs; she wrote music; she was an accomplished artist; and had amazing spiritual visions and mystical experiences.

These pendants are handset and glazed. Each is unique as I create different background designs with crystals, prints, and combining different metals of gold, silver and copper. The above photo is just one version.

Contact me directly if you are interested in purchasing. I should have these up on my Etsy on-line shop for purchase in the next week.

By the way, you are invited to our Hilde Girl Performance on Sunday, April 19th at 6PM at the Monarch Event Center. We do one performance a year and it sells out every year. This year we are raising money for American Gateways. During the second half of our performance, we will feature a women's drumming group and sing many African chants that will get you out of your seat and moving. It's not all sacred chant! And there will be a silent auction to die for!!!! I have created a unique pair of St. Hildegarde earrings especially for that auction. View the sidebar for more details and purchasing tickets. Hope to see you there!

Place Order for Your SXSW Pendants!

Hey everyone!

Look at what I just created!!!! A unique, one-of-a-kind Pendant for SXSW! If you love SXSW or you have a friend that absolutely loves SXSW, then you need to place your order for these pendants. Each pendant is unique, lettering in Sterling Silver, pendant frame is silver-plated. Comes on a black silk rope. 18 inches long. I hand-make/hand-set/hand-glaze each one so you won't get it before SXSW is over this year, but you will have it for next year or to wear year around and promote SXSW.

You can also send me a digital photo of what you would like as the background - I will set it in with the SXSW lettering. For example, a photo of your band, film, friends, business, etc. However, it must be sent in the EXACT dimensions I specify. I can only print black and white and spot color the photo. If you want full color - have the photo reduced on photo paper to the EXACT dimensions I require and drop it in the regular mail (snail mail). Please do not print on ink jet as the color will bleed during the glazing process. I will need you to send me at least 3 copies by snail mail - just in case something goes wrong during the glazing process. And please DO NOT send me an original of any photo.

Send me an email with your contact info that you are interested in placing an order for your SXSW pendant. I will contact you with the details. I do take most major credit cards.

Cost: $68

The Arts are Sacred

For those of you who enjoy and engage in arts and crafts, but struggle with finding worth in what you do, I share with you these Holy Writings of the Bahá'í Faith to inspire you.

"Blessed is he who in the days of God will engage in handicrafts. This is a bounty from God, for in this Most Great Dispensation it is acceptable in the sight of God for man to occupy himself in a trade which relieveth him of depending upon charity. The craft of every craftsman is regarded as worship."
(Bahá'u'lláh from a Tablet - translated from the Persian)

"One of the names of God is the Fashioner. He loveth craftsmanship. Therefore any of His servants who manifesteth this attribute is acceptable in the sight of this Wronged One. Craftsmanship is a book among the books of divine sciences, and a treasure among the treasures of His heavenly wisdom. This is a knowledge with meaning, for some of the sciences are brought forth by words and come to an end with words."
(Bahá'u'lláh from a Tablet - translated from the Persian)

"The purpose of learning should be the promotion of the welfare of the people, and this can be achieved through crafts. It hath been revealed and is now repeated that the true worth of artists and craftsmen should be appreciated, for they advance the affairs of mankind. Just as the foundations of religion are made firm through the Law of God, the means of livelihood depend upon those who are engaged in arts and crafts."
(Bahá'u'lláh from a Tablet - translated from the Persian)

"The one true God, exalted be He, loveth to witness handiworks of high craftsmanship produced by His loved ones. Blessed art thou, for what thy skill hath produced hath reached the presence of thy Lord, the Exiled, the Wronged. Please God every one of His friends may be enabled to acquire one of the crafts, and be confirmed in adhering to what hath been ordained in the Book of God, the All- Glorious, the All-Wise."
(Bahá'u'lláh from a Tablet - translated from the Persian and Arabic)

Did you know that engaging in an art or craft lowers stress and increases concentration and focus?

The arts and crafts are good for you and your soul! So continue if you are engaged in a craft and start one if you are not.

Healing Blessings!

In Memory of Your Pet

Losing a pet can sometimes be just as emotionally devastating as losing a person. I was reminded of this when speaking with an aquaintance recently and was asked if I would make commemorative jewelry to honor the life of a pet.

If you have lost a dear animal and would like a sacred piece of jewelry designed that you can wear which reminds you of your pet, give me a call (512-576-5297). I would ask you to bring photos and other objects of your pet so that I can get a good idea of who he/she was and then we can start talking about whether you are interested in a necklace, bracelet, or earrings. If you have at least 100 friends who might be interested in purchasing your piece to raise money for a worthy animal cause, let me know.

Living Legacy Commemorative Jewelry

I create exclusive custom designed jewelry to commemorate the memory of a loved one who has departed. A portion of each sale is donated to the charity of the family's choice in the loved one's name. Please contact me directly if you are interested in having a piece or a line of jewelry designed for a departed loved one.

The idea for this all started with the passing of Helena Pippins in 2007. To read more, visit my on-line shop.

The photo you see to your right is Helena's Wings of Fire to honor her one year passing in November of 2008. These earrings are available for purchase on-line. Each pair is hand-made by me, blessed, and contains a short narrative about Helena and the symbology of the design.

All of my commemorative pieces are made with sacred intention for healing, love, light, and joy.
Each piece holds the precious memory of your loved one. It is something you can wear daily as a reminder which anchors their memory on the physical plane. These special pieces do get attention when worn. They give you the chance to share the story of who your loved one was in this life and what he or she meant to you. Telling the story is a large part of the healing process from grief and loss.

If you are interested in viewing or purchasing more of my commemorative pieces, please visit my on-line shop.

Healing Blessings!

My Butterfly Princess

This beautiful creature is my one and only "butterfly princess." Her name is Asha which is an ancient Sanskrit name meaning hope and/or truth. She is 4 years and 8 months old going on 15! She loves all things that "sparkle." She even has a cat named Sparkle and a turtle named Flower. She really knows how to name her pets. She loves beading, tiaras, crowns, princess dresses and collecting natural stones, crystals, and oracle cards. She currently has her own Hawaiian Oracle Card Deck. She is always requesting custom pieces be made for her. I am currently designing a special piece to honor the preciousness of this magnificent soul which I will name Asha's Butterfly Dreams. Visit often or subscribe to this blog so that you can be one of the first to view and purchase this limited edition piece. It should be ready within the next week!

If you have a precious one in your life and would like a special piece designed exclusively for her or him, please contact me. I LOVE designing sweet little things for children. They are just so PRECIOUS!

I can't help it. I am a pre-school teacher at the moment at my daughter's school - The Greenwood School. I just love my little "Rose Garden" bloomers! They are all between 18 months and about 2.5 years old - little wee ones...but quite wise for their age. You would be surprised what they know and what can come out of their little mouths. They are so funny and just so sweet and naughty! I love it! Working with these wee ones just heals my inner child!

Share stories of your wee ones in the comments section of this post. I would love to hear about your precious ones.

Healing Blessings to your inner child!

Introduction: About Circle of Stones Jewelry

Thank you for visiting my blog site and learning more about Circle of Stones Jewelry!

Until I am able to re-design my website, I am hoping to use this blog site as my home base and to keep you informed of jewelry shows, events, my life as a jewelry artisan and designer, and the adventures of growing this business.

Circle of Stones Jewelry came into being in December of 2006. My business actually started in January of 2007. The name comes from a title to a book I read by Judith Durek called Circle of Stones...about women's struggle to find their voice, power and identity. I really resonated with her writings. They moved me as I was struggling at the time to find my own voice and place in this world. I've come a long way since that time.

I began Circle of Stones Jewelry with a focus on the metaphysical and spiritual qualities of the natural stones and gemstones I used in my designs. I designed custom peices for individuals that incorporated stones whose energies were beneficial to their life. All my creations are made with loving, healing and sacred intentions for the wearer whether they are made with natural stones, fabricated crystals, or metals. I found that customers were fascinated with the spiritual and energetic qualities of stones and would ask specially for stones that "protected" them or brought them "abundance" and "prosperity" or attracted "romantic love" into their lives. I had such fun suggesting stones and designing specific pieces for clients. This is the heart purpose of Circle of Stones Jewelry - to create sacred pieces that have purpose and meaning to those who will wear the creations.

From this intention, the universe delivered to me an opportunity to really produce pieces with deep meaning. In November of 2007, a member of Hilde Girls died suddenly and tragically in a car accident. She was only 17 years old. Her mother was also a member of this special group of women. We were all devastated. I created a pair of earrings for the mother called Helena's Wings in memory of her daughter. Everyone wanted a pair, so I decided to give back and after selling the 100th pair, I donated $1000 in Helena's name to the Invisible Children of Uganda, Africa - a charity close to this young girl's heart. I am now working on a line of jewelry in memory of Helena that will continue to donate to her cause and a new line of jewelry for Davis, another young man who died suddenly and tragically in 2007. Each line will donate money to the charity of each families choice. This brings true meaing to what I do and makes me feel like I am truly giving back to humanity in more than one way - through beauty and through service to those in need around the world.

To purchase Helena's Wings (pictured above) or other commemorative pieces, please visit my On-Line Shop.

My commemorative line will soon spin off into it's own little division called Living Legacy Commemorative Jewelry by Asia Wolf Jewelry & Design. I am also developing a fashion line called Asia Wolf Jewelry that I hope to be able to mass produce through a "fair trade" situation benefitting women in some part of the world. At the moment, there is a possibility of working with a village in Swaziland, Africa. I will just put it out there with intention that I will be guided to the right people and places in the right and divine time.

You can link from this site to my Etsy site and begin shopping at any time. Just click on "My Etsy Shop" in the Visit these Links section or go directly to http://www.circleofstonesjewel.etsy.com.

You can reach me directly through email at circleofstonesjewelry (at) gmail.com if you have questions or would like to discuss a custom order or the design of a commemorative piece of jewelry for a departed loved one.

I receive great joy from talking with clients about what they desire in a special piece of jewelry.
So, please don't be shy. Contact me. My prices are quite reasonable and I will work with your budget.

Healing Blessings!
