For Mother's Day this year, I am featuring pink stones such as Cherry Quartz, Rose Quartz, Pearls, Rhodochrosite, Rhodonite, Pink Jade and various Crystals in my designs for the "Motherheart Collection." Pink is the color expression of love and most pink gemstones have energies that relate to love. I would like to share with you the special properties of these stones and why I think these stones and their energies are perfect to give to your mother for her special day.
Cherry Quartz is a very unique and beautiful stone with swirls of peachy pink. If you have a mother that is full of vitality and passion or in need of it, this is the stone for her. Wearing this stone encourages vitality, energetic enthusiasm, courage, and confidence in achieving goals. This stone can lift your energy and your spirits. Wearing Rose Quartz gives you a sense of self-worth. It is also the stone of love in marriage. It is said that your marriage can have more spark and fire when you keep a rose quartz under your pillow. Rose Quartz is also known as a rejuvenator to the skin. So, sleeping with it under your pillow apparently will make you look younger. Washing your face in water charged by rose quartz will help fade wrinkles and keep the skin young. Rose quartz is also a lovely stone for a young person.
Pearls are just the most classic and classy of gemstones for mothers. How can you go wrong with pearls? Pearls are a symbol of purity. Pearls bring light and a glow to your face when worn. The radiance pearls bestow upon the wearer is magical and can appear to make a woman's face younger. Combining pearls with the stones of love - cherry and rose quartz - represents the purity of love in all its forms.
Rhodochrosite was the magical stone of the Inca Civilization. Rhodochrosite directs love energy first toward the self for the purposes of emotional healing. It works to repair old wounds and areas where disharmony exists. Rhodochrosite is also known as the stone of joy. Rhodochrosite energies align with the child within you, promoting a sense of playfulness. It is also an effective stone for recovering hidden or forgotten talents. Opens the heart chakra. All mothers struggle with self-love. Rhodochrosite is a stone every mother should have in her arsenal when she is feeling that she is not good enough or unworthy or guilty. I have added various colors of crystals into this collection to represent the "light", "shine", "radiance" and "spirit" of mother love. Throwing in a bit of sparkle here and there is always nice and gives the wearer a sense of youth, vitality, and excitement. Sparkle is a good thing!
